چکیده
Heavy metals found in cosmetics are a safety threat to the health of consumers. Therefore, this study, we evaluated levels heavy such as cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), lead (Pb), zinc (Zn), and arsenic (As) lipstick makeup. The level was discovered by using an analytical technique with high selectivity sensitivity, namely atomic absorption spectrometry. Twenty lipsticks were selected from same brands, yet differing price. Ten original (expensive) ten knockoff (cheap) chosen shops Diyala, Iraq. detection-limit (LOD) between 0.01 0.1, quantification-limit (LOQ) within 0.03 0.33, recovery values (Rec.%) ranged 100.17% 101.1%, RE 0.81%, RSD 1.33%. results also revealed that order Pb > Cd Zn Cu As Cr. However, estimated study less than permissible limit set executive authorities, so there seems be no concern associated these metals. daily frequent use women exposes them low toxic accumulate over time pose adverse effects on users. hazard quotient (HQ) risk index (HI) indicate harmful effect human related present lipstick. Whereas biological activity samples indicated bacterial growth expensive samples, cheap contaminated some types organisms; indicates poor quality.

This study was undertaken in order to determine heavy metal contents in twelve (n = 12) henna brands and eleven (n = 11) kohl products. An analytical test was performed for Pb, Cd, Cu, and Zn in henna and kohl products using atomic absorption spectrophotometery. The overall mean concentrations of heavy metals in henna varied between 1.2 and 8.9 μg g(-1) for Pb; 0.8 and 18.6 μg g(-1) for Cd; 0.5...
